Product description

This product is prepared by wet method, which is made by reacting metal iron filings with mixed acid (sulfuric acid + nitric acid) and then oxidizing with air. Aliases: iron red, iron oxide, trioxane and iron pills. This product is stable in the atmosphere and sunlight, high temperature and alkali resistance. It has good dispersibility, hiding power and coloring. Strong impermeability to ultraviolet rays. This product is mainly used as rust pigments and iron-red and purple-brown colorants in paints and plastics. As a pigment, iron oxide is widely used in high-end automotive coatings, architectural coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, powder coatings, and is a good environmentally friendly coating. Iron oxide is used as a pigment, which not only maintains the good heat resistance, weather resistance and ultraviolet absorption of general inorganic pigments, but also can be well dispersed in an oily carrier. The paint or ink prepared with it has satisfactory transparency . The coating is made of iron oxide with semiconductor characteristics, which can play a role in electrostatic shielding due to its high electrical conductivity.
